Early September brings the annual marché et troc aux plantes organized by Jardi l’Isle and les Amis Suisses des Plantes Vivaces. This lovely event takes place on Sunday 11th September from 09:30-16:30 in L’Isle above Morges. Entry is free.
This small but wonderful market brings together a number of professional nurseries as well as encouraging amateur growers to swap their own home grown plants. Bring your plant selection to the event, hand them over for display and hopeful sale and receive a “swap bon” per plant to exchange for another plant on display, don’t forget to label you plants. If you have nothing to swap don’t worry “bons” may be purchased for Chf 3 each. If you are unable to find something to tempt you at the plant exchange fear not as a number of well-know growers participate and will have stands packed with perennials among them Rémy Jaggi in Trélex, Roussillon Fleurs in Meyrin, L’Autre Jardins in Comérod and Bioley in Poliez Pittet. Steaming coffee, fresh croissants, hot soup, pizza and pastries – a great day out.
