The beautiful lake-side town of Morges welcomes over 100,000 visitors every year to enjoy its 120,000 tulips of 350 varieties planted throughout the Parc de l’Indépendance. This impressive display begins with the earliest varieties opening from 28 March and runs until 17 May when the late blooming bulbs are coming to an end. Once finished a public sale of the freshly lifted bulbs will be held on 20 May at 11:30, that means that fresh bulbs are then planted in the late autumn – a tremendous amount of work but definitely a sight to be seen.
