far-away plants

An article entitled “The Chickadee’s Guide to Gardening” appeared in the New York Times recently lamenting the disappearance of indigenous tress in our gardens. Although aimed at a US audience it is food for thought for all of us when we consider what to plant in our own gardens. An interesting read.

Chickadee: A “tit”, a small songbird that searches acrobatically for insects among foliage and branches. Also called titmouse or (in North America) chickadee.
